MERCHANDISING CASE STUDY

HP Promoter Program

How we helped one of the world’s biggest PC brands stay on top through on-the-ground activities.

Background

Hewlett Packard (HP) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of PCs and printers. Their PC’s and printers are ranged in all the major electronic retailers, including Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi. HP needed a field force to visit stores each week to train the retail staff on HP products and innovations, conduct merchandising and gather intelligence on competitor and retailer activities.

How we helped – retail merchandising in action

We took a leading role in HP’s in-store activities across assisted sales, mass merchandising roll-outs, mystery shopping, training and retail intelligence.

We recruited and managed an external field force of promoters and built a promoter program that provided maximum retailer coverage. We also provided ongoing training on new product developments.

To gather leading insights on consumer, retail and competitor activities, surveys are conducted during each store visit and aggregated into powerful BI dashboards. These dashboard reports are cloud based, accessible from anywhere, anytime and by anyone via our interactive, self-service reporting solution.
